Museum of San Bartolomé

The church that best keeps Atienza's Romanesque, with over 3,500 fossils.

The story

An early-13th-century church, it is one of Atienza's temples that best preserves its Romanesque elements. It was enlarged in the 16th century and added the chapel of the Santo Cristo de Atienza in the 18th.

Alongside its sacred art, it holds a collection of more than 3,500 fossils donated by Rafael Criado Puigdollers, linking the museum to the deep geology of the territory.
